Here at Mann Made we certainly like to do our bit. Despite being quite a young company we understand our responsibilities and aim to broaden them.

The nature of our business limits what we can do for society at large but if everyone makes small changes it helps our environment. We recycle our shredded paper and enjoy energy efficient lighting throughout our building. We are also pleased to be able to work with companies who are trying to look after the environment, such as carbon credits companies as well as companies encouraging the production of organic products.

We can however have an impact on the welfare of our employees and we like everyone who works at Mann Made to have a good work-social life balance whilst encouraging study and personal development.

It is important to us that people enjoy coming to work and that they feel part of a caring team. This is reflected in what our team does outside of the working day. The Mann Made team has participated in many activities in order to raise funds for charities. Our Tax Director headed off on a trek to Nepal to raise funds for Parkinson’s Disease; our Tax Director and Managing Director both headed off on a motorbike ride across India to raise funds, primarily for Unicef; we have provided services free of charge to a charity that raised funds for Romanian orphanages; we have sponsored the Isle of Man Squash Club as well as the Isle of Man Pitbike Racing Association, not to mention a whole host of other sporting activities our staff participate in from which sponsorship monies are raised.

Our flagship event is an annual round-island relay race that we sponsor called Race the Sun, which is very tough and is not for the fainthearted. It raises funds for an Isle of Man charity called The Children’s Centre and we are very proud of our involvement with this fantastic event which grows year by year. Not only do we sponsor the event but we also submit a team of runners. More details about this event can be found here and perhaps we can persuade you to enter a team!

Although we have limited time and resources to dedicate to these activities we do what we can and we will continue in our quest to be caring to our team, associates and the society in which we live and work.
